Audit and Assurance

Auditing is measuring the past, developing the future. Every business needs reliable accounts; apart from being a legal requirement they provide an accurate measurement of performance and help to clarify the effectiveness of an organisation's development.

Although many limited companies are now below the threshold where an audit of their Financial Statements is compulsory there are still businesses that benefit from having an audit. It may be a requirement imposed by a funder or where shareholders are removed from the day to day running of the business. For whatever reason, the audit can be valuable to businesses as it not only provides additional assurances to the shareholders, directors and third parties it can highlight more efficient business practices through a review of the management systems. Identifying inefficiencies is part of the audit processes we adopt and we aim to help management identify opportunities to improve performance.

Charities are subject to much lower audit exemption thresholds and for even very small Charities either an audit or independent examination is necessary. We have particular expertise in the Charity and Third Sector and we take the same approach to this sector as we do to business.

Details of our audit registration can be found at www.auditregister.org.uk under reference C001018462.
